Film Title Sequence
An opening title sequence made for the upcoming English-Cantonese indie feature film High Wire 鋼綫, a collaborative work designed by Florencia Usuki and me.
Director Calif Chong envisioned a title that incorporated retro visuals, VHS effects, roller skate elements, and a touch of circus aesthetics.
For the Chinese title, she specifically wanted a bold, masculine look.
Our approach aimed to encapsulate the essence of the 90s—the era in which the story takes place—while blending these elements into a cohesive and dynamic title design.
